The Trine Astrology is operated by 120 LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information The Trine Astrology(“we,” “us”) collects, why, how long we keep it, who processes it, and the choices you have. It is written for users in the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and password (your password is handled and stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see it).
• Birth information — birth date, birth time (if known), and birth location (city, coordinates, and time zone). This is used to calculate your chart.
• Calculated chart data — the astrological chart and derived analysis objects we compute from your birth information.
• Generated reports — the reports produced for you, including the first name shown in them.
• Technical data — limited request information (such as IP address) used transiently to operate and secure the Service.

How we use your information

• To calculate your chart and generate the reports you request.
• To create and secure your account and provide the Service.
• To respond to your requests and communicate about your account.
• To protect the Service against abuse (for example, rate-limiting).

For users in the EU/UK, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you (providing the Service you sign up for), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), and your consent where required.

Location data (Live Sky)

If you use the Live Sky feature and allow location access, your current location is used only to compute the current sky at that moment. It is processed transiently and is not stored in our database.

Service providers who process your data

We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (stores your account and the data above).
• OpenAI — generates report text from your calculated chart data. We send derived chart information (such as planetary positions and aspects), not your raw birth date/time string, to generate reports. [API terms / no-training tier and data region to be confirmed on review.]
• GeoNames — resolves the birth location you enter into coordinates and time zone.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are the functional cookies required to keep you signed in.

How long we keep your data

We retain your account, birth information, calculated chart, and reports for as long as your account exists, so your chart and reports remain available to you, until you ask us to delete them. [A specific retention schedule to be confirmed on review.]

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy (export) of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These requests are user-initiated: to exercise any of them, email us at info@thetrineastrology.com. We will verify your request against your account and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also close your account by contacting us at the same address.

International transfers

Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security
